Doors branch group

Purpose

The Group includes manufacturers of industrial doors, steel fire doors together with locks and building hardware. These three independent groups form a coalition of member companies of the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries, which is involved in manufacturing doors and their fittings, to promote the activities of its members and strengthen the competitiveness of the field. The purpose of the co-operation is to create the conditions for success for Finnish manufacturers and to improve the co-operation between member companies.

Business objectives

The core of the group's activities is to monitor the technical and commercial development of the industry nationally and internationally and to promote it. Representatives of the group participate in standardization work in the field and inform the progress of work at CEN. The group serves as a forum for exchanging experiences and debates on all issues related to the area, and to promote and develop co-operation between its members. It maintains contact with relevant authorities and stakeholders, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) and the inspection bodies, aims to develop the sector in a comprehensive way.
