HELSINKI, <\/strong>Finland, May 2021. Euformatics and Al Jeel have signed a distribution partnership covering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expanding the reach of the company\u2019s omnomics Suite of NGS software products to hospitals and laboratories as NGS sequencing technology uptake continues to expand in the Middle East.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement follows the selection of Al Jeel as the local distributor of the largest global sequencer provider in the world, Illumina, and the resulting need to complement the instruments and kits in their portfolio with high quality bioinformatics software for the Saudi healthcare sector. The agreement covers the entire Euformatics product portfolio to provide world-leading NGS test validation, quality control and variant interpretation software to hospitals and laboratories in the Kingdom. As the exclusive distributor for Illumina in Saudi Arabia, Al Jeel has the best visibility to local laboratories that are moving into clinical diagnostics using NGS and are thus best positioned to provide an end-to-end solution for these customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of a renewed strategy for Euformatics to expand its network of global distribution partners, the agreement with Al Jeel comes at an opportune moment. As laboratories are starting to refocus their efforts partially away from doing only PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2 samples, many are now looking to increase their use of NGS techniques for other diagnostic procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
