The members of Finnish Steel and Metal Producers produce and process steel and other metals while developing and marketing technologies related to metal refining. Finnish metal refiners operate in open, global markets across all continents. Consequently, the factors driving change in our operating environment are highly diverse (simplified in the accompanying diagram).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the constant changes in our operating environment, strong collaboration with decision-makers, authorities, local stakeholders near production facilities, and research and education organizations is essential to us. Our companies also actively participate in global, European, and domestic networks to enhance their ability to respond to changes in the operating environment, ensuring and further developing competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
