This ban covers more than 20 Industrial Union collective agreement sectors, including the technology industry. The overtime ban excludes emergency work and tasks essential for the protection of life and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From January 10th at 00:00 to February 4th, 2024, at 23:59, the overtime ban applies to the following Industrial Union collective agreement sectors in the technology industry:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list  mt-none\">\n<li>Ore mines industry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sheet and industrial insulation branch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In December, the Industrial Union announced plans to shut down Neste&#8217;s oil refinery on February 1st\u20132nd and submitted notices for political industrial action concerning the Kilpilahti and Kokkola industrial areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trade union movement opposes the social security and labor market reforms proposed by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During their press conference, the Industrial Union mentioned that they are considering additional political strikes, but no decisions have been made yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The page has been updated on January 9th 2024.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Industrial Union announced a comprehensive political overtime ban across several industrial sectors on Tuesday, January 9th, and new political strikes on Thursday, December 28th.
