The association is a place for cooperation as well as a place for the development of activities both for its members and for other actors in the field of health technology.

The association informs its members about relevant political and legislative projects in the field and collects the members’ feedback for delivery to decision-makers in various forms, such as personal meetings, participation in key working groups, through written and oral presentations, or as statements on pending legislative projects. The association itself is also proactive in matters important to the industry and produces e.g. opinion and blog posts to stimulate social debate.

Working groups

The main activities of the association are meetings of legislative working groups, which are managed by the association together with the separately appointed chairpersons. The aim of the working groups is to share information on the regulation of the industry and to provide a network for companies to have low-threshold discussions on topics common to the industry.

The working groups are open and free of charge to all employees of the member companies. Participation in the groups does not require any prior preparation or homework. The discussion is free-form and ideas can be exchanged at a very low threshold.

Public and private parties in Finland and Denmark have come together in a joint action to produce a catalogue of e-tools to explain and educate the industry on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act, Data Act and the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation.
