New strikes in the technology industry will begin tonight
Mediation in the collective bargaining dispute between Technology Industries Employers of Finland and The Industrial Union did not proceed on Sunday and no solution was reached yet. The Industrial Union’s and Trade Union Pro’s new strikes in the technology industries will take place starting tonight.
The strikes announced by the Industrial Union on 9–12 December will take place in the technology industry, as negotiations on the collective bargaining could not reach a result on Sunday led by the National Conciliator. The strikes will last for one day at each workplace from 00:00 to 24:00.
Technology Industries Employers of Finland and the Industrial Union have a preliminary agreement on textual issues, but views on wage increases are still far apart. Next negotiation date wasn’t decided.
The strikes planned by Trade Union Pro will take place on 9–12 December and a new negotiation time has not yet been decided.
Technology Industries Employers of Finland continue to negotiate the terms and conditions of employment of upper-level employees in technology industries, the collective agreement concerning the IT service sector, and the collective agreements for white-collar and upper-level employees in the design and consulting sector.
