Negotiation Outcome for Senior Salaried Employees in the Technology Industry

Technology Industry Employers of Finland and the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) have reached a negotiation outcome on a new collective agreement for senior salaried employees in the technology industry.

The negotiation result was reached on Monday evening. The details of the agreement will be made public in the coming days, provided that the administrations of the parties approve the negotiation result. If approved, the strikes announced by YTN for Fridays 28 March and 4 April will be called off, and the so-called overtime ban will come to an end.

YTN has also imposed a ban on business travel during free time and a restriction on the accumulation of flexitime hours in the design and consulting sector. Trade Union Pro, for its part, has issued two strike warnings concerning salaried employees in the design and consulting sector. The strikes are scheduled for 31 March–4 April and 7–11 April. Conciliation with Pro will continue on 28–29 March.

The collective agreement for senior salaried employees in the technology industry covers approximately 65,000 employees, taking into account its generally binding status.
