Negotiation outcome for technology industry workers

The Technology Industry Employers of Finland and the Industrial Union have reached a negotiation result for a new collective agreement for technology industry workers. The administrations of the parties will review the negotiation result over the weekend. The technology industry is still facing two weeks of strikes in February and March.
The negotiation result concerning the wage settlement for technology industry workers was reached on Thursday in negotiations led by the National Conciliator. The details of the agreement will be announced on Saturday, if the administrations of the parties approve the negotiation result.
Currently, members of the Industrial Union are on strike in the technology industry. Work stoppages have been announced in various companies and locations for 17–21 and 24–28 February, as well as 3–7 March.
Several trade unions have announced support strikes and blockade actions. AKT, SMU and JHL will participate in a support strike affecting rail transport and all Finnish ports for 17–21 and 24–28 February.
If both parties approve the negotiation result, the strikes planned by the Industrial Union and support strikes will also be canceled. The Trade Union Pro has issued a strike warning for 24–28 February and 3–7 March. Additionally, The Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) has announced four strike days on four consecutive Fridays from 28 February to 21 March.
