Inma Pérez is a Regulatory Lead for Artificial Intelligence at the British Standards Institution (BSI), where she works on the development and oversight of the AI Notified Body and ensures alignment with EU regulatory requirements. She manages high-level engagement with competent authorities and oversees compliance for AI projects involving external stakeholders.
Before joining BSI in 2022, Inma worked in Brussels in the consultancy and public affairs sector, advising major technology industries on the AI Act and broader EU digital regulation. She also served as a European Parliament Advisor at the Spanish Permanent Representation to the EU, gaining deep insight into the EU’s legislative and regulatory landscape.
A lawyer by training, Inma holds a Law degree and a Master’s in European Law, and she is admitted to the Spanish Bar. She specialises in AI regulation, governance, and compliance, with a focus on the intersection of law, technology, and policy.
