Our current topics

The European Commission has published several initiatives, especially to develop the capacity and competitiveness of the defence industry. PIA’s task is to influence in these initiatives and Finland’s negotiating positions, to ensure that Finnish industry has the opportunity to make maximum use of the initiatives.

We share information with our companies about current RDI opportunities, above all in the EU (EDF) and NATO.

Especially defence industry companies demand support to enter international markets. We actively support our member companies’ access to this political and protectionist market.

According to the Finnish government’s defence report, critical production, technology and know-how must be available in all security situations. This requires domestic production and know-how. PIA supports the operating conditions of its members so that they can support the overall safety of Finland.
