Taina Susiluoto appointed as the new CEO of Technology Industries of Finland
The Board of Technology Industries of Finland has appointed Taina Susiluoto as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer. She will take up his position on 1 March 2026.
The technology industry is Finland’s largest export sector and a key driver of economic growth. The new CEO, Taina Susiluoto, brings to the role broad and diverse experience, extensive societal networks and a clear vision of how to strengthen Finland’s sustainable growth and competitiveness amid geopolitical uncertainty.
Ville Voipio, Chair of the Board of Technology Industries of Finland, emphasises that this is a time for bold action to reinforce the foundations for sustainable growth.
“Finland’s economy will only recover through growth, and that growth must be sustainable. Rather than playing it safe, we must dare to invest in the future, experiment with new ideas and harness emerging technologies. This requires expertise, investment in research, development and innovation, capital expenditure and stronger export markets,” Voipio says.
Taina Susiluoto underlines that the guiding principle of Technology Industries of Finland – securing Finland’s long-term interests – depends on Finnish companies succeeding in an increasingly tough and complex international competitive environment.
“The keys to Finland’s sustainable growth lie in the hands of the more than 1,800 member companies of our technology industry. Technology companies bring growth, security and hope to Finland. Geopolitical uncertainty also continuously creates new opportunities, for example in critical technologies and the security sector. We already have strong expertise in these areas. At the same time, we are faced with a considerable jungle of bureaucracy. Cutting through it would give entrepreneurs more time and better opportunities to generate growth,” Susiluoto says.
The current CEO of Technology Industries of Finland, Minna Helle, will move to the position of CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) at the beginning of April.
Susiluoto has previously held a wide range of positions in public affairs. She holds a Master of Laws degree. Earlier in her career, she has served in senior roles at the Finnish Olympic Committee, the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Defence. She has also worked at the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
