Member participation and networking
Technology Industries of Finland (TIF) has 13 branch associations, 19 branch groups and one main branch group, the ICT Branch Group.
The branch associations are self-administered but collaborate closely with TIF to lobby for results. The branch associations represent their member companies in specialized sectoral issues, apart from employment issues. The exception is MTHL, which is an employers’ association in the sheet-metal and industrial insulation industry.
The branch groups offer our member companies a broad collaboration network. Both branch associations and branch groups make an impact on branch specific issues. They gather and share insights on developments and trends in their respective sectors and organize a wide range of events.
Working groups, which consist of our member companies' representatives, support and guide the work of Technology Industries Of Finland' Headquartes. The board of TIF appoints the working groups and their members for one-year terms.

In addition, Technology Industries of Finland has an Entrepreneurial Committee and an Electoral Committee.

Funding for AI Projects
Technology Industries of Finland decided in November 2023 to invest ten million euros in accelerating the utilisation of AI in Finland. This investment aims to increase the uptake and development of AI at Finnish technology companies, bolster applied research and attract AI experts to Finland.
Member companies of Technology Industries of Finland can benefit from this investment in the following ways:
- Seed Funding for Member Companies' AI projects
- Preparatory phase of seed funding for TIF member companies' AI projects
- Grants for Master's Theses on AI Topics (The Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation)
- Funding for hiring AI researchers into companies

Carbon Footprint Calculation Tool for Companies
We have developed a carbon footprint calculator for the use of our member companies. This Excel-based emissions data collection tool is designed for organisations and businesses that want to monitor, calculate, and report their greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol. The tool covers all emissions categories (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3) and supports transparent and systematic reporting, enabling more effective actions to reduce emissions.

Resilience Manual
The Resilience Manual is a preparedness framework developed for companies to help safeguard business continuity before disruptions occur.
It brings together a company's critical operational capabilities, such as production, data, expertise, and supply chains, with the four phases of resilience: preparedness, impact management, recovery, and learning.
Its key value lies in turning resilience into concrete actions and a practical management tool.
