We are pleased to invite you to SKOL YPN Summer Soirée, a laid-back summer evening for young professionals and students in the design and consulting industry.
The event will take place on Thursday 4 June 2026 starting at 16:00 at Eteläranta 10, Helsinki.
We will begin with career stories from the design and consulting industry. The session will offer an inspiring and approachable look at possible career paths, including how people can find their direction, build their expertise, and move forward through challenges.
After the structured program, the Soirée continues on the sea-view terrace, where participants can enjoy snacks, drinks, and good company.
Dress code is summer smart casual – think colorful summer dresses to linen shirts!

Meet the speakers
Elomatic
Deniz Mohseni
Deniz Mohseni is a process engineer with nearly six years of experience in Finland. In her talk, she shares her journey from moving to Finland without industrial experience to building her career step by step through challenges, internships, and new opportunities. She will talk about what she has learned along the way, including adapting to change, learning from challenges, and growing through real project experience.
WSP
Markku Laine
At WSP, Laine leads the structural design business and shares his career journey from product development to steel frame contracting and consulting. His career began during the recession of the 1990s, after which he spent four years in product development, sixteen years with a steel frame contractor, and the past twelve years in consulting. He enjoys project-based work and focuses on long-term development and goal-oriented leadership.
