SKOL Young Professional Network Working Group Call 2026-2027
The SKOL Young Professional Network (YPN) invites applications for its Working Group for the 2026-2027 term. The Working Group will consist of 6-10 dedicated and motivated members who wish to contribute to the development of the YPN community and the broader consulting and design industry.
The SKOL Young Professional Network (YPN) is a new initiative by SKOL. This network brings together young professionals and students in the design and consulting industry to connect, collaborate, and share ideas. It provides a platform for peer exchange, professional growth, and visibility for the emerging voices shaping the future of the sector. We are now inviting 6–10 motivated members to join the YPN Working Group for the 2026–2027 term.
This is a voluntary, unpaid role, offering participants an opportunity to engage in strategic planning, event coordination, and network development in collaboration with the SKOL office. The two-year term will begin in January 2026 once SKOL’s board has approved the composition of the group. Applications are open to all members of the SKOL Young Professional Network across Finland.
Members of the Working Group will:
- Plan and organize events and activities for young professionals and students in the
field. - Represent the perspectives and ideas of the next generation within the SKOL
community. - Contribute to the development of the network’s goals, communications, and
community.
The SKOL office will provide continuous support for the Working Group throughout the year
in planning and implementing the network’s activities.
Term and commitment
- Term: 2 years (January 2026 – December 2027)
- Commitment: Approximately 6–8 meetings per year, plus participation in events and
projects (around 2–4 per year) - Language: Meetings and communications will be conducted in English
Who Can Apply
The call is open to members of the SKOL Young Professionals Network who are passionate about the design and consulting industry, eager to collaborate, and motivated to help shape the network’s direction.
You do not need to live in the Helsinki area to apply. The Working Group aims for diverse representation from across Finland, and participation is fully possible regardless of location.
Previous experience considered an advantage:
- Participation in student associations, guilds, or professional networks
- Experience in event planning, communications, or community building
- Involvement in projects or initiatives related to consulting, design, or engineering
- Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and initiative-taking skills
- Experience in representation, advocacy, or leadership roles
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the SKOL office. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interviews in early December 2025, and the final Working Group composition will be approved by the SKOL Board in January 2026.
