Best Finnish mobile services of 2014 awarded
Over 110 nominees competed in 11 different categories in the Finnish Best Mobile Services competition; categories included best game, best internet of things service, best service for seniors , and many more. The competition was organized by digital content provider association Teleforum and The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries, in co-operation with major Industry organisations in Finland. The Minister of Education and Science Krista Kiuru acted as the Chair of the Jury.
”The Best Mobile Services in Finland competition gives a good view about what kind of new services are developed in Finland yearly. There were games and services which attract users globally, but also services which are targeted to make everyday life easier. There were many startups in the competition, but the jury was glad to see that many established players also put effort to make their services more user-friendly, and are following their customers' evolving needs. We are looking forward to next year to see what kind of new services are coming to the market. Good luck to all winners!” says Kiuru.
Teleforum CEO Juhani Kivikangas stated that interest towards the competition has increased significantly over last year. “We received excellent candidates in all 11 categories. We would have liked to see even more services involving the Industrial internet, services targeted for minority groups and services supporting multicultural adaptation. In addition, it is great that every year we find new games that attract millions globally.”
