Marjo Miettinen from Ensto Oy elected as the Chairperson of Technology Industries of Finland

As the Chairperson of the Board of Technology Industries of Finland, Miettinen continues on the path paved by her predecessor Risto Siilasmaa, whereby all actions and operations of the lobbying organisation are guided by long-term interest of Finland.

Marjo Miettinen, Chairperson of the Board of Ensto Oy, has been elected as the Chairperson of Technology Industries of Finland’s Board of Directors 2019.

Kimmo Alkio, President & CEO of Tieto Oyj, and Ville Laine, CEO of Lojer Oy, have been elected as the Vice Chairpersons of the Board. Laine serves also as the Chairperson of Technology Industries of Finland’s SME Committee.

In addition to the chairpersons, Jaakko Eskola, President & CEO of Wärtsilä Oyj Abp, Jussi Herlin, Vice Chair of the Board of KONE, Oyj, Olavi Huhtala, EVP & Head of SSAB Europe Oy, Markku Moilanen, Executive Director at Ramboll Finland Oy, Risto Siilasmaa, Chair of Nokia and F-Secure, and Tarja Takki-Halttunen, Vice Chair of the Board of Oy Halton Group Ltd., were elected to form the working committee of the Board. Operations guided by long-term interest of Finland

Marjo Miettinen has held the position of Chairperson of the Board of Ensto Oy from 2002 to 2006 and since 2016. In 2006-2014, she acted as the CEO of EM Group Oy. Miettinen has held various executive positions at Ensto Oy since 1988. She has been a member of the Board of Technology Industries of Finland from 2005 to 2012 and since 2017.

As the Chairperson of the Board of Technology Industries of Finland, Miettinen continues on the path paved by her predecessor Risto Siilasmaa, whereby all actions and operations of the lobbying organisation are guided by long-term interest of Finland.

“We have recently updated our strategy. Our goal is to make Finland a leading country in sustainable technology development, where meaningful work is available to those willing to do it. If companies have the right conditions to prosper, they can create sustainable value and prosperity for the whole of Finnish society,” says Miettinen.
